My computer’s live stream, at 8:15AM Abu Dhabi time.
There may have been some screaming in my apartment. Also? Some joy.
And then I texted Liam, who went off on the school bus this morning, clutching his phone, which was streaming the live feed of election results (I’m green, he’s white):
So there you have it folks. WOOOOOT Obama won.
And then many, many exclamation marks.
I also woke up to the news because I couldn’t stay up late enough last night, although in retrospect I should have just stayed up because all night I kept waking from panicked nightmares along the lines of holy shit what if that horrible man gets elected?! Whew.
In other news, glad to see you on the yeah write NaBloPoMo grid.

It was 2:30 when I finally forced myself to turn Rachel Maddow off (I like her. I really like her (yes, I am giving you the knowing eyebrow raise because I mean like. Like that)) but it was past 3 the last time I looked at the clock. I lay (laid? lie? Never mind) there smiling, warm, giddy. I almost got up and cleaned something I was that pumped but well, no. I am tired at work but it’s so worth it. The exclamation points say it all.

Up here in Canada, we were just as happy at our house!! GObama! (I shudder to think what evil mischief Harper and Romney would have got up to TOGETHER.)

I had this peaceful sort of joy, but not surprise and excitement. I think I hang around with too many democrats. I didn’t think anyone was going to vote Romney. But I guess nearly half did.
